hey guys, I'm debating whether i should get this AEM CAI off hp.com forum...

first of all, do i need to cut out anything? (01 tib manual)

and second, does 200 cad for 3mths old AEM CAI with bypass valve sound reasonable to you guys?

That's like $120 US right? If so, that is a good deal. You will have to cut a small piece of plastic liner off.

yes that is a good deal. It retails for around 340$ cdn. All you have to cut is a small piece of plastic in the wheel well, no big deal. I installed my AEM in about 1hr in the summer. I am very happy with the AEM intake.

hprockets, are you going to install it when you get it, or wait till the spring?
You can find a link to the install, in the Do It Yourself section of this forum.
I have the instruction manual at home, if you don't get it with the intake let me know. I can mail it to you.

does it matter if you have an automatic or manual? will that affect the installation at all, or change the type of intake needed? (will AEM fit both manual and automatics?)

There are two different types made be AEM. One is for auto the other is for manual. I believe the auto one is smaller in diameter.

the AEM intake fits both auto and manuel i had one on my auto tib and it fit fine and worked great laugh.gif
