Re: New Site Software
So I know that this 1.8 cam installed in a 2.0 works better..... nothing major but, it will be better.....
BUT..... this is better in the low rpms or in the higher rpms??....
and for what application is better, for turbo or for N/A??....
I am asking beacuse there is a 1.8 Hyundai engine that seems like it nobody wants, so i´m think to go there and buy the intake cam.....
what else do you recommend or you know about this...
thanks....
p.s I kwon that there is a other tread about this but, no body answer the tread now....
thanks again

Re: New Site Software
I have the 1.8 in my 2.0. It helps in the higher RPMs because that is when you engine wants and needs more air.
As for what application it is good for both NA and turbo. But for NA in the long run high pro cams in a matched set would be better. But then you also need a A/F controller and a timing controller.
For a $100 and 30 minute mod it is a good addition if you have already started doing the intake and exhaust tracks.

Re: Spiderman? Anyone like Kiersten Dunst?
is the 1.8 really better for turbo? I was under the impression that the regular was better if not just as good as the 1.8 for turbo.

Re: Owned. Seriously. (Not Safe For Work, or even home. LO
The only reall difference between the 1.8 and the 2.0 intake Cam is how long it stays open. As long as you have your timing done correctly for a turbo (to prevent detonation) it would definatly be better because it would be open longer. Atleast this is how it was explained to me.

Re: Spring Break Plans
The 1.8l cam would be good for either NA or turbo, it has a slightly higher duration but not much, if you do get one you should buy a new one or a low milage one, most 1.8l's I have seen at the junkyard are all high milage engines and the cams do wear down over time.

Re: members forum
If you lower lift and duration with a turbo. Granted, the 1.8L shouldn't make too much difference, but there is still the tiny smidgeon of difference.

Re: Racing Hart CX multi piece wheels. Yay or nay?
The 1.8 cam goes for around $110. It's a good mod for the price. You should get it. You can always sell it later (someone will buy it) if you choose to go with another route.
