will a 3" filter be too big to stay on? i am having some trouble finding a 2.5" filter.

Let me check my parts I have a few used filters in good shape. How long of a filter were you looking for?

i dont think i want to used filter. i guess i'll just make a short 3in pipe with a reducer to hook it up

 

The APC filter that I have is a 3" and I haven't had any problems with it falling off of my 2.5" CAI. The rubber boot usualy has ridges inside of it to help hold it on. I've had mine on for about 6 months now and it hasn't slid down at all.

My Ractive filter has 3" opening and I am running a 2.5" pipe. The boot compresses and seals it just fine.
