If you want to replace those bent intake valves, let me know. I think I should have all 8. I also have an OEM flywheel from a 97 tiburon as well.

you mean 16? if there is valve damage on one side and if it were my engine i would replace all 16 while im under there.

ordered new flywheel from auto zone, now i have to wait 3 days for it to arrive 02.gif
do you think i got a good deal on the engine? I was about to buy one with 87K miles for $520 shipped, but instead i got one with 40K for $725 shipped?
ehhhh at least i know the car will last me a good little while lol tongue.gif

UPDATE: after auto zone gave me the wrong fly wheel, I stopped the install, but today i recieved a flywheel from "tdonnell" now the process can continue haha.
all bolted up and ready to install, here is a few more pics of the fresh painted shinny engine


Its in...

will continue tomorrow and hopefully have it done by Saturday smile.gif

i would have to say that was a stationary hoist... that one wheel is completely buried...

I thought those pics looked desert-ish like. haha. . .

I'm in Phoenix often with nothing to do between meetings and other errands, if ya need a hand ever shoot me a PM like a day in advance. I can probably be there the next to help out.

Where'd you purchase the engine?

(P.S. Exact same thing happened to my car but I haven't even taken the head off yet to inspect the damage..)

^^ thanks i got this engine under control, now i have to wait for the intake manifold gasket from autozone to arrive again 02.gif but if you know about turboing i might let you know in a few months since i have never messed with that.... i got it off some guy in new mexico his wife got rear ended, he gave me VIN of the car and it checked out. last reading was 6 months ago at 40,xxx
