I find it hard to believe it too. Now don't you think that if it were true that product would be in every magazine trying to make some real money?

For Hyundai's? Nope. Ever seen a Hyundai magazine? Didn't think so. The other fact is that, okay, that will fit RD Tiburons and Elantras. That's it. Look at some CAI designs, some cars have intakes in some wierd places.

QUOTE (Mad-Machine)
One of the things I do like about the design, other than it being one of the shortest cold air intakes you can get.. it puts the filter into the protected area of the fender. With the plastic shrouding in place, water, stones, and dirt cannot gat at the filter or the piping unless I really want to go and try submerging the front bumper.

It's also loud at WOT..At tip in you get a nice growl.. personally, some of the best money I ever spent.

That's the exact same place the AEM puts theirs. That pipe looks alot longer than the AEM. Same with the noise.

Actually Redz, the cone in this CAI sits slightly higher, and the filter is pointing down, as opposed to the side.

Mad: For folks who don't have fog lamps or a cover for their foglamps, the filter, like in any of the CAI designs, will get pelted with bugs, stones, etc. But yeah for most part it's protected fairly well.

OZ: Look at the picture here:

It's that rubber piece right before your TB.

Oh yeah, if you have a 97 A-SPEC Tib, it won't work. The EVAP canister is in the way

even with my aftermarket fogs.. my filter gets covered in bugs... As for the 20hp increase... I doubt it.. but the audible HP is well worth it.

Can't you relocate the canister?

Well it was sunday yesterday & I thought I'd use my day off to do my CAI install. laugh.gif
I had everything ready to go; borrowed my brother's angle grinder, got a beautiful new k&n pod filter, various pieces of PVC piping, cable ties, etc... & sure enough, after a few minutes of taking bits out of the engine bay and strategically planning my first "incision", I realised what KayJai was on about when he said:

D'oh! :?

As the proud owner of what is obviously a "97 A-SPEC Tib", I am now also the proud owner of a crappy temporary WAI that sits below my battery! evil.gif

Sounds good though... lol.gif

When I get a chance (after making the shifters) I'm going to look into moving that f***in' canister so we can make use of this cai location 8)

DOH!
haha shitty
Well atleast you have a WAI
For a little more power, temp use some dryer duct and route it down just below the Rad, so you get some cooler air

Nah, just take it out and route the lines together, that's what Blacktibs did, no problems.
