I didn't get any pistions fixed! My problem with black exhaust turned out to be my engine was running way to rich due to the MAF reading way off cuz it was coated with oil. Once I cleaned that off, I had no problems.

I traced my strange oil consumption down to the 2 breather hoses on the valve cover. I repaced the stock PCV with a FRAM unit, and then routed the second one to the atsmophere via a littler breather filter. (I plugged off the opening in the Elbow.

Oh wait then who was it who had burnt pistons? ah, in any case looks like valves in #1 are shot.
