Ok guys,, I just noticed it today maybe a little yesterday,, when i give it gas in first, until i can get to about 2,500-3000rpm it feels like the engine is running like crap! not enough to stall it but it just doesn't feel right. Then i get to 3000 and it runs perfect through all the gears. Then when i down shift into 3rd i can feel it again for a brief second, but its mainly first gear. It feels like its getting worse by the minute. If i over gas it coming off the clutch i don't feel it, but that will burn out the clutch right.

Any ideas or recommendations on what to check.

Thanks

Really?? that sure that fast? Would make sense,, i feel it cutting out some times when i come on the gas hard in like 3rd or 4th. And it is a DaeSung, I will msg swifttiburon and see how much they want for it.

OK update:

The car is getting worse it seems, 1st gear is terrible upto 2000rpm,, its like the whole engine is shaking. Second is fine,, third and fourth are fine. When i downshift every gear now,, as soon as i get into the gear i feel the shaking again then it goes away till i downshift to the next gear. It runs smooth up in the high rpms its weird,,, and it idles fine in neutral. Anymore ideas??

TPS is bad or your MAF is messed up or in backwards.

Well i went and bought a new TPS yesterday. In the midst of running around to pick it up, i touched the plug on it, the car started running fine again!! so i said whatever, i'll put on the new one and see what happens. So i did, car started fine,, took a tour around the block car runs perferct. So I park it and i was in for the night, i come out this morning for work, start it and it shoots right upto 2000rpm and stays there, and now my CEL is on. So i take the new one BACK off and put the old one on. Car starts up fine and sits nicely around 900rpm, and runs fine the whole drive to work. So now i don't know whats going on, should i take the new one back, the thing cost me 120 bucks canadian. The OEM number on the side wasn't the same as mine, could that be a problem? My oem is 35170-32000 the new one was 35170-22010 but it came up in their computer that it was for a 99. Another place gave me the same 22010 number too when i called them.

Any ideas or suggestions guys?

LoL, sounds like you should have bought selinas for 45 instead of blowing ~100 bucks on the wrong part, whenever i get a TPS from the junkyard i test it out on my tib to make sure it works right.

But i suppose you should get your money back for the other one, one of the symptoms of a bad Dae Sung is that if you move/wiggle it it messes up, so i wouldnt consider the problem fixed if i was you.

I wouldn't assume that the new TPS is the wrong part. If the TPS on the car right now is a Dae Sung then that's why the part number is different. It's a different part made by a different manufacturer.

What I would do is find out what code has been set since the CEL is on and see what that problem is before you assume that the new part is the wrong one or faulty.
