Engine is not in after 2nd attempt.

1.8 and 2.0 Flex plates are not the same.

1.8 flex plate sticks out about 1/2 inch further not allowing trans to be bolted to engine.

Now I am getting my 2.0 flex plate bored to 41mm.

This is not going as planed, but it will be done.

Engine is in and bolted to transmission with the bored out flex plate.

Engine will not start. Possible bad fuel pump.

Fuel pump is in, car started up and drives (kinda). I am going to get an oil cahnge and run some seafoam and b-12 through it. It has a hard time idleing and bogs down occasionaly.

Now onto the interior, stereo and rims.

damn, i wish i saw thsi earlier so i could have told you the 2.0 auto tranny from your car would not work with the 1.8L swap. Well, you figured it out. wink1.gif

And, wtf mate, huh? "onto the interior, rims, and fagtastical whowhaa???"

I thought you were selling the turbo, trashing the effed up 2.0L, replacing with 1.8L and returning it to stock......

Stock (with Leather, Rims, Big ol system)

You know stock.

The engine is going to be stock except for the panel K&N, high fow cat, 52 inch glass pack, 2.5"pipe, Thrush Turbo muffler, Ngk wires.

I guess I completed the first revers swap. Kinda sad the amount of work I did to make my car have less HP than the engine it came with.

Oh..

I had the idea you were restoring it to stock for a trade-in or something (prob. cause of the reverse swap, didn't think someone would wanan keep it after that, LOL...).
