I need a new auto trans on my 1.8 rd1 to sell it. The 1.8 trans is hard to find but I have found many 2.0s. Im sure it bolts right up but would I need anything additional? I was assuming maybe the tranny computer? Any help would be great. Thanks

If you want to place a safe bet, you should also try the tranny, the gearing should be different as it is on the manual tranny, so a 1.8 with a 2.0 auto tranny would be SLOW, but then, whoever buys a car as old as ours with an auto tranny is not probably looking for a speedster... and will get better fuel mileage so it's alright laugh.gif

 

Direct bolt up, I have a '06 2.0L mated to my 1.8L, just have to reuse your mounts.

Tim, is that the same for autos you think? With using my old tcm? and wiring?
