Sorry, I'm on my sidekick so when I get home I'll put up the last email I sent. No reply as of now, but I will bug them again to see where we are standing.

Richard.

I took the past few days to poll up some information at the site I'm at the most, I can get more from any of the other sites I listed for you if you want me to. Let me know.

1. Targeted price = $350 to $500 for catbacks, but preferrably $375 to $450 I'd like to mention that the MBRP went for $500 and sold very well. It's the "Legendary" exhaust for us, but no longer available like I mentioned. $200 to $350, preferred $250 to $275 for headers.

I also forgot to mention before, these SAME headers will fit many Kia brands also, as Kia is owned by Hyundai and uses the same motor in MANY of their newer cars. It will also fit the 2.0L Santa Fe. That's a LOT of brands for one header.

2. Approximately how many would sell? Well, at the one site I polled, www.rdtiburon.com, MANY would buy the exhaust setup, and a few less would buy an exhaust/header setup. Again, our site is PRIMARILY revolving around the 97-01 Tiburon, so this is just an example. If we get one produced, I would be MORE than happy to run a preliminary buy of 10 or more for our site. From the info in the thread I created about Borla Exhausts, we could very easily start with a group buy of 15 to 20 systems direct to the buyers, and let them get the reviews out. This is the same way I helped Hondata.com get the Heatshield Gasket for our cars developed and the word out about them. Once the word gets out that we have a QUALITY exhaust available and that it has good performance results, sales should go just about nuts.

If possible, I would also be interested in carrying all Hyundai Products at our shop at www.kspec.com , and would like the information on pricing if this does happen, and possible drop shipping or arrangements. Hyundaiperformance.com has a shop and so does importshark.com and they would also be very interested in selling your product.

Below is the link to the main discussion thread where we've been talking about this. We also have it posted on our main page, www.rdtiburon.com

Thanks again for your time Richard.

And to answer your question, yes, Borla would DEFINATELY be worth waiting for.

Redz, the Santa Fe has a 2.4l engine... I would have added that it would work with the 2003-present I4 tiburons, that would add a much larger sales base. As well as the 1996-Present Elantras.
I would have also given them links to elantraxd and newtiburon so they could see more of a possible sales base smile.gif

1. Any headers designed for the 4 Cylinder Beta 1 or 2 series will fit the following Hyundai vehicles.

a. 1997-2005 4 Cyl Tiburon
b. 1996-2005 4 Cyl Elantra

2. Any Cat Back exhausts made for the car requested, 1997-2001 Tiburons, will also fit...

a. 1996-2000 Elantra

These are the only ones I am 100% positive on, but I'm sure there are others with our series of engines in them, such as the Accent or Sonata. We have all seen that you do have a setup for the 2.7L V6, but it's rather unpopular in the Hyundai Tuning world because of it's weaknesses, the Beta series of 4 Cylinder engines is the MOST modified engine in the Hyundai lineup, and to ignore it would leave a huge gap for us and NO where to buy premade systems.

REDZMAN you are kick@$$!! This is good, very professional and complete with lots of research info. IMO this is a perfect oppurtunity for them, especially with the lack of cat-back systems available for us now.

I have a new exhaust system coming out as well, I'll have HP number Torque number, install shots, sound clips, and all other info needed before sales start.

Its all stainless steel, comes with silencer, 2.5 all the way back, and has a 4" tip. So keep waiting, oh and its super high quality stuff made in Korea shipped out here. I'll have more info soon guys, and I hope to hear more about Borla.
