Disconnecting the Chime

The chime is the little gray metal box located between the steering column and the HVAC air handling box. Look up and toward the right side of the car from the brake pedal.

To disable the chime, just depress the catch on the connector and pull it out:

I don't like any loose wires, so I tucked the connector up out of the way (make sure it's not against the moving portion of the steering column):

HAha, That's the first thing I did to my accent the 2nd day I had it.
