Break Down:
1st disconnect the battery
2nd remove the guage cluster trim peice, but be carful not to break the two clips on the bottom of trim
3rd remove the four screws holding the cluster and disconnect the 2 harnesses from the back
4th remove the bottom section of the dash under the steering column: make sure to disconnect the hood latch and the ecm terminal from the bottom so that they don't get damaged
5th remove trim piece covering your fuse box there should be one screw holding it in place
6th remove the 2 gold 10mm bolts so that you can get easy access to the back of the fuse panel. " note: the bottom bolt has a ground attached to it this is the best ground that i foud that had easy acces"
7. install tach onto dash: i installed mine on the trim that goes over the door to remove this peice start from above the door with it meets the back section and remove with patience so you don't break the clips
8. run your wires into the dash and route them along the fire wall
9. connect your power to your radio or accesory wire. "note: in my case it was the solid blue wire on the back of the panel" take note of where the fuse is and flip the panel over to make this easier
10. route your negative feed (green wire) and your ilumination wires to the back of the guage cluster
11. connect the negative feed (green wire) to the solid grey wire and the illumination to the green/ orange wire. "note: the 2 harness connector are different sizes, the grey wire is on the smaller and the green/orange wire is on the larger connector"
12. tap into the ground that is bolted to the body with the gold bolt that you removed earlier when removed the fuse panel.
13. re install fuse panel
14. re install bottom half of dash
15. reinstall guage cluster "note: make sure to plug connection into the cluster" and trim
16. connect battery
17. start your car and watch your tachometer come to life!!!!!
This took me about an hour and a half but I had no instructions. If I were to do this on another car maybe 30 to 45 min tops.
This will work for any tachometer.
