Ok, I just wanna clarify a few things.

If I remove the airbag fuse(s), will that completely disable the airbag(s)? Will it disable the passenger's airbag as well as the drivers, for good? Or will I still get an airbag light, and have to do resistors?

EDIT:

Well, I managed to get the airbag and wheel off. I'm up to the point where I just took the clockspring off, but now Im stumped as to how to hook up the horn.

The momo hub has 1 black wire running up through the hub and out to where the wheel connects. It has a spade connector at the end. Then I have a momo horn with 2 spade connectors on teh back. WTF do I connect them to?

I think I may have figured it out...the black wire coming from the hub must be a ground wire, and there is only one horn wire going into the harness, so that must be the ground, which connects to the other terminal. I'm gonna try doing it that way, I'm just worried about cutting wires I shouldn't. I have to cut the airbag wires, and I'm gonna tape them off cause I dont know what else to do with them for now.

WOOT! Cheesebox figured it out for me! The ground on the momo hub wasn't grounding it. Thanks again dude.

I just spliced my original horn wires and left the airbag wires alone, just tucked them in under the dash. What i haven't gotton rid of is the airbag light which i'll end up taking the bulb out cause i'll be doing the gauge cluster LED conversion.

What steering wheel did you get, any pics?

Here's mine, Momo Jet air leather with carbon fiber.

OMFG YOU COPY CAT! I'm putting in the SAME EXACT ONE!

Dude, we must have the same exact taste. First paint color, now this. LOL!

At least I know it will look awesome! smile.gif I only paid $60 for mine though, plus shipping.

Only thing is, I think I might have gotten the hub stock on there now. I can't get it off, it wont budge.

^^^ Lol, i guess we do have the same taste, i wanted to go with purple but it was to girly so i ditched the red and went with blue. Btw, i didnt copy cause i've had it for a while now. nana.gif

I do like your tastes btw, love your tib that's why i told you to enter for COTM!!

Anyway, send me some pics when you install it.

You got the hub "stuck" or "stock"? I had no problem removing mine after i installed it once and messed up in the alignment cause stupid people at sears aligned my suspension with the stearing wheel a little slanted.

Hehe, yeah I guess I unknowingly copied you then, lol.

Pics will be up tomorrow. I'm almost done, just I didn't have enough wire to finish hooking up the horn.

Well I'm doing it the way Alex said to, with long wires around the hub. I only had one piece of 2 foot long wire.

Ta da:

I dunno why the carbon fiber has such a brownish greenish tinge to it, it looks like poop. I was hoping it'd be more black. Oh well.

What a b!tch of a time I had with this thing. Finally got it on there perfectly. Didn't even need the steering wheel puller though.

And that pic sucks, my car is still a mess and I have to put the dash back together, but you get the idea.

Yeah, it is a bit smaller. Weird. It came from Australia so I dunno. It is the Jet, same one.
