I just did this DIY, took me a half hour, and HOLY SH#T, I cannot believe the difference. Before I did this when I shifted from 2nd to 3rd I would get chuggy at about 4000rpm. After I removed the resonator and the air duct I took her out for a rip and shifted 1st to 2nd to 3rd all at 5500-6000rpm and man was she smooth, loads more acceleration and a way sweeter sound to boot!! Totally sweet, thanks for the DIY. I'm so hooked now fing02.gif

It cahnges the sound alot. Goes from a sort of whine to more of a slight growl. Start saving up and grab yourself an AEM cold air intake(CAI). The sound is so much better, like 1000x then this mod, and you feel it a little more than with this one.
I did this mod and after hearing people tell me "oh man it sounds 100x better after this mod" and thinking to myself, "it didn't change too much", I was skepitcal of getting the cai. But I found a blue one on ebay for $100 so I thought why not. It sounds awesome to say the least.
This is a great mod and the first one I ever did. It has to be done to add a cai anyway so your 1/2 way there

For sure I will get a CAI, I never thought I would gain this much power from removing a little plastic box LOL. Will have to hold off a bit for the CAI though, have to dish out $800 next week to get some body work done, after that, engine mods here I come smile.gif

to be honest it didn't do much it just made the car a tad more responsive. Actually after 30mins of driving, the car was losing power because of the hot air comming in. Adding a pipe as shown in my "this is my rd2" made a noticeable difference. And is quite consistent.
