side view mirrors won't work... I tried and broke the fux0r. Got new mirror on order through hyundai for $27 shipped, receive day after tomorrow. Woulda e-bayed it, but the dealer is changing out my tranny bushings under warranty same day, so I went with what was easiest.
there's not even enough space for a piece of dynamat in the side mirror.

I finally did this today, but with a variation.
I couldn't find my damned Dynamat anywhere, so I took the assembly apart, and filled it with RTV Clear Silicone Sealant.
I filled the entire thing and the edges, screwed it back together, then filled around the clip and made sure there was no empty space. I packed the sealant in there with a plastic knife then, holding it flat, scraped off the excess. Wipe the sides with a damp napkin or papertowel and then installed.
No more rattling.
GOD I should have done this years ago.
After the install a bit more seeped out, I just wiped it up and it's all dry and looks great now.

I know this thread is ancient, but I wanted to thank Redz' suggestion and wanted others to know that it works ... I fixed my rear-view mirror, this week, and I didn't have anymore dynamat because I wasted it all on wrapping the entire car! So, I also used the RTV Clear Silicone Sealant. Now, when I drive on the highway, where all I could see was just a blur behind me, I now see things clearly. Sealant worked perfectly!! Great alternative, Redz!

No problem man, glad it worked for you.
Bumping up old stuff like this is fine, it helps folks find fixes to problems they didn't know about, and shows that I was, at one time, a useful member and not a "Nazi Asshole", or whatever the kids are calling me these days.
