how many OHMS are your resistors, 510 or 470?

You probly overheated the LEDs when soldering, which melted the plastic and allowed the leads to shift around inside causing it to stop conducting and take out all the LEDs or short ciruit and bypass an LED. You will need to replace a defective LED. Remember they don't need much heat and solder should only be used to bond two pieces of metal together. Solder is hot as hell and will tear up your plastic. You need to be careful and make sure you're only using enough to make your bond. Solder will retain heat and transfer it through the leads into the LED. It acts as a resivoir in large quantities on such a small piece of electronics.

A few things I've found to be helpful when troubleshooting LEDs is a 3V battery, a 9V battery and a 15V power supply.

You can get a 3V battery from Walmart's watch section. It will let you know if a single LED without a resistor works. You can test LEDs before and after you solder them into a circuit. 3V only works for Blue and white. You can use them on red for a short period of time. A 1.5V battery is what you should use on yellow/green LEDs.

A 9V battery is for testing a LED in a circuit with a resistor. It will only tell you if it works or not.

A 15V power supply will tell you if the LEDs will work in the tiburon without blowing up. My power supply is actually a 12V power supply which has been shorted one too many times and has become a 15V.... You know, whatever works though.

wait, are you hooking them up in series and using a resistor for each LED?

That was the last way that i tried to hook it up, I know it says parallel, but i was just trying different ways.

For the record, doing a series-paralell LED lighting circuit is the most efficient way, but it won't make it look any different and it makes it more difficult to hook up, and troubleshoot if there's a problem, not to mention if one goes out, they usually both go out. You should stick to 1 LED and 1 resistor from the power and ground wires.

Does this help?

The green/white and green/black wires become circuits on the board eventually for the pictures on the buttons. The dials on the heater should be tapped separately. The indicators are separate lines all together and you can just replace a light with a led/resistor.

Did it help mang?
