I did this a couple of years ago on my 99. I need to redo it since I did not clear coat or paint mine. After awhile it gets this dull look, so you may want to consider that before installing.

Awesome man! Glad it worked out good.

One idea I had wondered about is painting the front side chrome, and then painting the back side red or black or another color.

You wouldnt actually ever see the back of the grill, but when you painted the back (assuming you painted it AFTER the front) the color would cover the insides of the edges/corners, so that when you looked at it on an angle, you might be able to see it.

Not sure if it'd work though.

;-)

Maybe you guys should wear some gloves????

I will be doing this soon,,,,,,,,,,

Prob just going to paint the grills black though, I like the way the stock ones look (kinda) but wish they (hyundai) had made the mesh smaller.

this will be done after i get my headlights back from blacktibs......since the front bumpers comin off anyways.

grills look pretty good. do you think you could cut some of the plastic on the bumper to push the mesh out further and make it more noticeable?</div>

Thats probably possible, the only thing that would be tricky is figuring out how to attatch it then. If you cut it closer to the bumper, the tabs that hold the grill on will be gone. Might be able to cut it out so new ones are left though.

I'd like to see it if someone did that! smile.gif</div>

Liquid Nails, some decently thick wire and you can back mount a grille wherever you want one. wink.gif
