I'm guessing the Sokie Tech logo is a sticker right? I don't wanted it painted cause it looks ugly and it says "the name you can always count on" ha, yeah...thats exactly what I associate with Sokie Tech.

At what height can you let the hood go and it will open by itself?
When the hood is almost closed, if you let it go, does it come back up? If not, then surely in that position the dampers are not pushing it upwards with enough force to bow it or it would fly up..

^^ Because of the angle, at about 3 inches high it starts assisting itself downwards. at about 1/2 way it will open itself. It starts pushing upwards and getting lighter and lighter as it gets closer to the end of the hinge but it's a controlled movement. The shocks stop themselves before the hood's hard-stop.

Wow, that's really nice. So the bow cannot be because they are pushing it outwards as it stays closed (they are doing the opposite). It could only be if they are too long or something just doesn't fit right..

They would have to be really strong to bow that heavy ass hood from where they positioned. Could be he just installed them a little weird, washer is putting it higher or somthing, I dunno.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (RED ZMAN)</div><div class='quotemain'>BTW, if someone ever gets me a good measurements on these in length, I can se if NRG has the carbon fiber rated ones at the same size.</div>

I gave you the exact length of the lifters in milimeters and inches here (post #31) a while ago: http://www.rdtiburon.com/index.php?showtop...#092;&st=20

As for the bow I do not have these problems on my RD1 everything lined up perfectly. Might be that something did not seat in correctly on yours DTN?

You did, my mistake my man. I even already sent them in to NRG, I just hadn't gotten a reply. I apologize.

Hive, do you have a strut bar on yours?
