Before swapping fuel pumps on an N/A setup, you should use an ajustable fpr. Adjusting the fuel pressure will be fine to get the job done, unless you are running major mods (13:1 pistons, agressive cams, p/p head). If the pump can't support the pressure required, than you swap pumps, not the other way around.

Fuel pressure is not generated by the pump. The pump generates a flow of fuel. The fpr creates the restriction in other to build pressure. The stock pump can support a pressure up to 90psi if i remember well. However, it's not 90psi at wot.
Stock is 35-45psi.
