Default DIY: Corner Removal (PICS)

There's a lot of DIY's in here that are for making your own clear corners, but I think some people just might want to know how to take out the OEM corners. I took pics of my corner removal a long time ago, and I've still got the pics around but never got around to writing up the formal DIY. So here it is.

Tools Needed:
- Small handtowel
- Screwdriver (Phillips)
- Some sort of hitting tool (perhaps your hand)

The explanations are on the pics themselves.

Default DIY: Corner Removal cont'd

Some people might be weary of using the screwdriver-as-leverage method, but the alternative would be just to use your hands and pull the corner light straight out. All that is holding it in is a little metal ball joint that snaps into a socket on the headlight. You'll see it when you remove it.

As always, questions, comments welcomed.

Nice write up. I wonder if that is what that little plastic knob is really for.

Nice mang, thanks. I had pics but never wrote it up.

Bout time someone did.

BTW, that knob, if you look at it, is connected to the little air hole.

Bstards! Is that why I have water in my damn lamp? Because of that little rubber thingy? If so I will make sure that is filled before the clear corners go on LOL

I think the "air hole" is there so you can fill up on blinker fluid!

see all this time I thought the wire you plug in and that screw were the only things holding the corners in place....haha.

No wonder it's so loose and looks out of alignment. Where can I get those rubber thingies...mine must of fell out or I lost some clips or something. It makes the front end look really bad.

Nice DIY,

Just thought I would add.. more or less the same for the Rd1. Maybe even a little bit easier as our corners are abutted up to the headlamp.
