As an aside to this you can use the now free coolant lines to cool a water cooled turbo.

Friggin fantastic idea.

I have a question regarding the loopback though, if that single tube is bent too tightly and thus pinched... does it not prevent the flow of the coolant?

I avoided that possibilty by using both tubes to form a bigger loop and used a little metal joiner.</div>

Word. I've had mine hooked up as shown for what, 3 years? Little pinch, but no problem.

As an interesting aside to this, my Canadian 2000 Tib doesn't even have the coolant running through the throttle body. It is the same casting because you can see where the lines would go but they are blank.

Not mine, Viper had it set up this way, I never even thought of that before.

...are you guys sure?
I mean.. i'm not trying to be insulting, but are you looking in the right spot? The hoses should be on sort of the underside of the throttle body.

It just doesn't make any sense at all that we wouldn't have them connected up here, unless they were taken off by a previous owner maybe? Hm. Seems wierd.

I'm positive. I removed my throttle body to clean it up and even took pictures of it. I bought the car new so nobody else has owned it before me. That's the way it came from the factory. I am surprised that there would be some here with it and some without.

hey just a quick question, could u add 2 valves, one to stop flow into the TB amd the other as a bypass into a T fitting back to the head...? kinda like this: (minus .'s wont let u use multible spaces)
|----| <--- TB
| . . o <-- valve one (to stop flow)
| -o-| <-- valve two (to finish loop back to engine)
| . . |
if valve one is open two must be closed or the other way around....
this way instead of taking apart ur TB yearly, u could just open and close a couple of valves right?(or would the valves possiblely restrict the flow?)

and sorry for bringing up an old ass topic 02.gif
