figured i'd bring this thread back instead of making a new one smile.gif

i pulled out my seat today only to find i got only 1 wire under there 02.gif pretty sure its the seat belt sensor.

was reading back in this thread and noticed there was a GB on those heated seats from www.heatedseatkits.com

thing i noticed about those is in there install manuel it shows the relay for to the battery and everything. now thats where my question comes in lol, if my car didnt come wired up with relays and all from the factory, if i purchase these it should include everything that i need from connecting it to the battery to having a button on the dash to heating my ass on the seat right?

if you're asking if their kits come with switches, why don't you just go to the site, it would tell you they do.
or are you asking once you get it how to wire the switch so it works?

i'm lost.

yes vladimir.

they come with fused wires to run to a power source, and a switch. no relays needed. run power wires to battery, put heating pads under seat covers, place switch somewhere.

let us know when you're ass is warm, and what kind of seats are you using? I REALLY want to do this, but I want to find a factory set of seat heater pads from Europe. sad.gif

^ Shh! Say no more. If you talk about the lack of snow, it will come back..

I may look into this a bit more. I don't usually drive it after the first snowfall, but like you said, there has been a lack of snow. It doesn't mean the temp wont drop though.

Why? They won't just patch in, you'll still have to wire them I'm pretty sure.

Unless Hogboblin can get us the harness too...

You have no clue mang. When it's 23 during the day and 15 at night, it's not a big difference.

Here in the Southwest, when it's 60 during the day and 20 at night, that's frigging cold man.

Same thing out in the Mojave Desert. 128 during the day, then drop down to 70 at night? That's a 58 degree difference. It's enough to make you sick. I'd be sleeping in my extreme cold weather sleeping bag out there.

I was rereading this the other day because I've been thinking about these a lot lately -- http://www.coolorheat.com

Anyway, the original DIY link is down. Here is where it has moved to: http://www.uhter.de/DIY/en/seatheater.html

And there are more DIY's here http://www.uhter.de/diycontent.html

Not trying to bring it back from the dead, just giving it an update in case someone reads it in the future.
