Add on seat heater installation
I know the XG300 has heated seats, so it might be possible to get Hyundai heating elements. The switches on the XG look totally different from the TIburon ones. Do the Tibs in Korea come with heated seats? Any way David @ kspec could get us the switches?

Hmm, good question.
Post over at our forums at kspec.com and we'll see.
Maybe we can make up a kit eh?

update on this (even though it's sorta old)
i finally remembered to look, not sure if anyone else did...but yes there is a wire clip underneath our seats (mine anyway). i guess this is what it could be used for.

You mean Seat (driver's side) only
That's for your seatbelt light

HI!
I did it. But I think the seat for the driver gets warmer than the other one.
So I checked it with a Voltmeter. The Plugs on the driver's side have always 12,34 volts. On the other side too but only if the Driver's seat is switched off. If I switch both on the plugs on the passengers side have only 11,54 volts. Do you have an idea how I can fix this?
I have an European Tib and under the driver's seat there are two plugs: a black one for the seat heaters and a white one. On the passengers side there is only the black one for the heaters.

You might have to install a relay.. use the seat heater power as a signal to engage the relay and run the power to the seat directly from the battery or some other hot (sorry) stable source.
I don't think the harnesses are there on the US spec Tibs. I had my seat and center console out to re-wire my XM and did not see them. So, unless our they're REALLY buried, our cars don't have them.
In that case, you'd have to run a relay and tap straight in to the battery.

recently I rented a Chrysler Town and Country minivan.. it came with heated seats... What a GREAT option.. I felt like a lizard on a heat rock. The guy I had with me to help shoot some video does not like the heat, so this allowed me to keep the van slightly chilly inside but still kept me nice and toasty.
There is mention of heated seats for the tib on webtech: http://hmaservice.com/webtech/iindex.asp?i...id=12274#_12274
So maybe they were an option.
I'll be pulling my seats and carpet soon and will look for the plug while I'm at it.
