Thumbs up subwoofers for my 7.2 surround

a few weeks ago, i bought this 7.2 surround receiver, http://www.newegg.co...N82E16882676164 what do you think would be a good subwoofer for this setup, in a small room, about a 15x15ft room. i love bass, so even something "too big" may be ok, as long as it has a local volume control on it. it requires a powered sub.

right now i have it set up in the center, left/right, surround, and surround back setup. this has the feature to set up with center, front high left/right, left/right, and surround speaker option, but i like the all around sound that the surround back speakers provide !

i want a front subwoofer and rear subwoofer, but cant decide on anything nice. something that provides the full audio spectrum, at least 20hz on the low end, maybe even lower, but the lower you go, the more expensive.

and thats where im running into trouble finding a sub that is "cost effective" and will produce 20hz.... most of the cheaper subs only go down to 25-30hz

best one i can find is this puppy http://www.tigerdire...C7BBTkwCjCECjCE but its kind of pricey

and this one, but its a little low on wattage http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...705&CatId=4601

Man I sold a definitive tech 15in powered sub a couple months ago and that thing was amazing just way to much for my little apartment. Def tech is the way to go for big bass. partsexpress.com normally has pretty good deals.

If you want a home theater sub, you want to spend more than a couple hundred dollars for the highest quality sound. Unless you want to spend several thousands, you will have to DIY to get really good response in the 20Hz range. And I wouldn't even start looking at less than 15" if you really want to bring the house down.

If you want to be a good neighbor, or don't have neighbors, then something smaller.

Go to www.diyaudio.com and dig around in their subwoofer forum to get some ideas.

My ultimate would be a bank of infinite baffle 12s or 15s in the attic, but that is . . . out of the budget . . . for a while. http://ibsubwoofers.proboards.com/index.cgi

true ! i forgot about DIY.com.... i might just go with the Sony SA-w3000 as its only 130 bucks, shipped next day free from amazon, and it hits 20hz. I will have 2 of them so that should be enough for this small room...
