I call people and occasionally text with my bone-stock R2D2. Yep, un-hacked, bone stock. Kills you, doesn't it?

Darkchild, any phone can do that.... Even a boost mobile. Yours is shinier then an android, but in no way more functional except when it comes to operating with other apple products.

Mine controls my Rovio, stereo, both Routers, Media Center, NAS, printer, netbook, laptop, Computer(from around the world also computer can control everything else).

The advantage of android is that it is open source. It advances quicker. Did you know that nearly every feature of iOS5 is a copy of an already existing Android feature? Also, android manufacturers were playing nice... now since Apple started playing the patent game, Apple devices will become more expensive or less functional then they are now from here out. The countersuits are starting.

The thing is, if iOS can do it, Android does it better.. unless it's proprietary apple stuff.

Visionz, My Samsung Infuse 4G does all of that... its got a slower processor though. I assume with a 2ghz dual core, it will be bad on battery.

Battery is really the only thing keeping the speeds down. The usual answer is bigger battery and longer charge times.
