Since this thread was started, I finally managed to snag a bunch of 2GB sticks that work together, so now she's running at 16GB with no troubles! Plus I may be about to get it running on a 10kRPM hard drive so double-bonus. Unfortunately, we probably have to sell the processors I wanted to use that came in the same pile of stuff with the hard drive . . .they are still selling for $600-700 EACH on eBay!



. . . and I lied. The other day I looked and it was using just over 4GB. Over a gig for Firefox and a couple for Photoshop. Yikes. One video card in this has a RAM capacity something like 15x the hard drive in my first computer.
