I wish I had forced myself into this when it started. The semester after I graduated there was a course in out IT department focused on mobile (Android) development. I contemplated taking the course just for fun and to learn.
I didn't. I regret it. I rooted my old Pre. It was fun using PuTTy and getting into the code. I just rooted my Nexus 7, and it was all point and click
it's amazing how "dummy proof" you can automate things.
Props to all your accomplishments, and good luck at the BBQ. I was reading about it on XDA, looks like a blast of nerdship and tons of prizes.
