If you think dough mixers deserve more than $17 an hour, you're nuts. Most people in food industries would kill for wages like that, nevermind ask for more. Idiots.......

No matter what level of truth this holds, its my new favorite Twinkies fact.

Most food has a shelf life, Twinkies have a half life

That's not my experience. I would say it is average for large food factories.

Here's some insight into the past bankruptcy and present one. Looks like vulture capitalism.

Apparently there was a slew of bad CEOs coming in/out, and being paid large sums as they cycled through without improving results.

I think I need to strive for that career path. Go in, grab a few million, do nothing, profit.

Well, again, either way, now 18,500 people are going to be at $0 an hour. Congrats on trying to be greedy in an already piss poor economy...

As one who has gone through 3 plant closings I'll say this. Once they approach the workers with the though of closing a plant, it's already written in stone.

Right, it's the workers making $17/hr that are greedy. Republican.

They've been battling with the bankruptcy and losses for nearly a decade. This isn't something that happened overnight.
