i haven't been having an issue right now... i have the ability to shut the boards down, but i don't want to if i can't get a hold of supercow like right away.

again, i'm hitting refresh and visiting a lot of pages and nothing is coming up. you are sayin it, and faith contacted me. what skins are you guys using?

i'm using IPB default, if that makes a difference. i may have no choice but to shut the boards down...

It's back. I'm getting it too. I emailed Java and Supercow. We gotta do something about this.

Just a quick note before I leave for the afternoon.

The site is fixed for now, but don't think we are the ONLY ones. I did some research about this earlier and found that HUNDREDS of sites have been having this same problem for months. It's a gap in security from Invision.

The problem is, SOMEONE HERE decided to post on the site that we were behind on security updates, and vulnerable to this kind of attack, so any disgruntled former member here could have started this all for us.

IN THE FUTURE, if you see there is an issue with the security or updates here, PM US ABOUT IT, the forum techs especially.

Hopefully we can get a permanant solution soon.

Yes, this BS is really annoying. I have to restart my computer and run spyware and virus scans in which I end up getting 100 different viruses etc. total. The server is proffy209 like Socks said and it asks me to download xpl.wmf. Of course I say no...Im not that stupid.

I hope this gets fixed soon otherwise I wont come on RD as much because of this security threat.

People are so stupid and need to get a life rather then cause severe inconvenience to people they dont even know.

^ Are you guys running things like Spywareguard & Spywareblaster in the background while you're on the net? Norton/McAffee or whatever else you're using kept up-to-date?

I've not had any issues with viruses... Yet.
