lol yea.
well see being a graphic designer mac's are industry standard. So at least in my circle of people... mac 90% and pc 10%.
but i do have to agree... there are just some thing u cant do on a mac. So pc are necessary, but for what i do Mac's do it 100 times better.
LOL at the mac commercial.

^^ a hyundai is one thing. It will still get you from point a to point b being different. But a mac is still a mac and will never be an IBM compatable. As i said before, there are fewer virus problems with macs because there's fewer users, fewer softwares and fewer programmers.
Basically, owning a MAC...it's like being married. You can look at all the other hot chicks, but you can only touch the one you chose.
Dont get me wrong, I still feel sorry for those people who own a MAC, with the flashy menus and think that it's really what a computer is supposed to be, always searching for a software that will actually work and having only one company which supports it. These viruses may only affect IBM compatables, but that's no reason to switch to a mac.

Everyone I know who has used a Mac says they'll never go back to PC's. I'm really wanting one. I have 3 "IBM Compatible" machines (haha, that sounds funny to say in 2006) 2 laptops and one desktop. I would build a PC for Gaming and that'd be about it. Everything else (audio, imaging, photo editing, recording music, and graphic design) is owned by Mac and PC's can't touch it. Bottom line.
^^^^ i agreee...
and the MAC being Unix based... has alot of linux programmers coming out with stuff for them too... i have yet run into a problem with not having a program i need or want on my machine and i have owned macs for years.

LOL, this is funny. With what I use computers for now I am planning on buying a Mac sometime soon. With the new macs it is nothing to dual boot Windows and MAC OS. Back in the day when I was doing nothing but gaming Macs were not even an option.
what's the name of the virus that's infecting people? I got it when it hit a few weeks ago, along with like 10 other virii... I couldn't get rid of them and I had pop-ups galore (mostly from the Downloader virus). I couldn't get rid of it with Norton Corporate, AOL Virus Protector, or McAfee given free by Comcast. SpyBot S&D, Adaware, and XoftSpy couldn't remove it

Why? they're using the IBM processors now? Why use mac software emulated on an IBM when you could just use the full speed IBM? You'll just slow yourself down. There's absoloutely no graphics benefeit, they stopped making hardware... Not that it was better since they fell behind 5 years ago.
Everyone i know who bought a mac recently, bought it because of the pretty colors on the GUI or because they heard the false rumors that it was actually better with graphics or sound.

Why would you want to boot mac os?
and since when does a circle of co-workers constitute an industry standard?
