I only get shocked in the winter when I wear my heavy suede coat.
just an FYI.. car tyres do ground the car also, They have enough metalic elements built into them to allow the tread to transmit the charge from car to ground.

it's weird .. this happened to me all the time to the point where i would get out of the car and just grab the side to get it over with (LOL?)
but since I've had the red tib it hasn't happened once..
