now its held up by cardboard. anybody have an extra power window set up on hadn they wanna sell to me? or know of a place that can get it to me ( in germany or us) quickly?? i so wanted to get that damn VHR kit too, but i need to know how much this will cost, and no i havent started searching yet. just got back from the garage figuring out i'm completely f***ed!!! damnit hyundai why do you have to make a weak window motor assembly. heeeelp, if any one has any suggestions feel free. thanks

depending on mileage (kilometerage), it should be covered under warranty. REDZMAN had this happen to him, and it was fixed for free. a couple others had it replaced free of charge as well.

 

well its got 103k miles right now... i will be going to the dealer here tomorrow anyways to see what they say ( ingerman lol) i found some used parts at carparts.com for like 75-150 bucks, so hopefully i can still afford that clutch kit, thanks, and keep the suggestions coming, especially if you wanna sell yours to me smile.gif

They aren't cheap, but not really expensive either.

What exactly happened?

 

well. i just filled my tank up w/gas (30bucks worth her ein germany) soprry im drunk . dam it.argh. and then i pushed up on the button.k then all of a sudeden i heard grinding. and i looked inside the door (peeled the rubber to the side some) and seen the metal cable all tangled and shit, then pushed down and up a lot and it like eerrr i saw metal dust start forming on the window. i have no idea. it sounded really bad and the window wouldn't bgo anywhere, but it would make a horriblly painful grinding snatching sound. oh it sucked

my passenger side just died too, how long does the warantee cover up until? I'm at almost 4 yrs and 40,000km only.

should i open my panel up and check it out first, or just bring it to the dealer?

EDIT: OK! my dealer said it's not covered since it's only 3 yrs ! almost 4 for me now. anyways when I open it up, what should I look for? how do I know if the regulator or the motor is broken?

My windows won't go back up, it keeps falling down even if i pull it back up with my hand, I taped the window up to the door, since I still need to drive to work.
