Ok, so I opened up my door panel, looking inside, I can hear the motor still run, but the wire is all tangled up, might even be ripped. So I can't spin, the wire is all lose and overlapping each other. I can't seem to be open the metal part of the door so I can get a clear opening and look at what's wrong. How do I open the door more to the components inside?

If anyone know what's wrong, what is the part number in the HMA part catalogue below that i'll need?

HMA

are the 97-01 windows all the same? Thanks.

Same thing happened to me on the passenger door. One of the clips that holds in the wire broke. Luckily mine was under warranty and they replaced the whole unit. But most likely its the same for you since the wire is all loose.

Yes, they are all the same part between RD's, and we told you, you need the regulator.

^^^
Does someone have instructions on how to open up the metal part so I can get access to the regulator? After I open the door panel?

I ripped off the weather sheet that was glued on already, but there are so many bolts and the metal don't seem to separate.

Hma Service has full instructions on how to do everything.

You just have like 4 nuts to remove.

ok here is an image of what happened. Hmaservice instructions were helpful in removing the window. You actually don't need to remove the window. There are only 3 bolts to remove the motor and regulator. You just have to lift the window arm out of the way.

Is that the regulator? I managed to untangle but the cables are so messed up, it still won't roll in the groove.

anyway, I guess I will have to take it to the dealer now. If I get a new regulator on my own, I got no idea how to tie the wires to the proper spots.

btw i managed to lose one of my window stopper when I started to put everything back. OH WELL, it doesn't do much anyway. Hope no idiots hold down window up button for 5 mins while I have my door open.

For the like 100th time, that's your regulator.

anyone have experience replacing the regulator? Do you start cutting off the cables everywhere, coz I can't see the end of the cable where it pulls the window holder arm.
