You moderators are to f'ing lock happy.

Who cares if something is a repost. If it's a repost from months ago who gives a shit. Now if your reposting stuff the same stuff on an open topic that people are still actively posting on, then ya, lock the damn thread.

But saying: "Oh this was talked about months ago in another post that you can't see anymore unless you search 5 months back and 30 pages in the forum. REPOST. Lock." F U.

I've gotta say, I agree. If people don't even remember that it was here before, why does it matter?

Well I think its kind of annoying to see the same sh-t over and over again. I mean if it looks like its a common subject, search first.

I havent seen too many locked threads lately, just only the ones that really needed to be.

Learn TO, and HOW TO search before you psot a thread. It's that simple. Like we are the only forum that locks them. If it's already posted, bump it up, and talk in that thread.

Were you going to post the video of the RD1 with 2 motors doing the best burnout ever?

It's been posted about 30 times.

If you SEARCH, you won't have 30 pages of results, unless you search for something like...

Car

TPS

Video

It's a fact, and they'll keep getting closed.

spiffy, it's just in order to keep the forums clean. a lot of videos get posted on here. sure they are funny, but most videos are. if you want to catch a funny video, there are whole websites dedicated to it, break.com, myspace, youtube, photobucket.

if the same thing gets reposted once in one month, and another time the following month, what would be the difference between something getting posted one day and the same the following day?

moderators lock threads because they know what's been happening, hence the reason they are moderators because they, like me have too much free time lmao.gif

if a poll were taken on moderators locking reposts, i think a high majority would vote them to be locked. we're not the only forum to do this. it works now, has in the past and nothing can be done. that's as straight an answer as i can give you. sorry you've had some reposts locked nothing personal. even i've made a fre reposts as a moderator! but if you notice we are probably the cleanest forum on the internet!

the only way we will decide not to lock a repost is if it hasn't been posted in a year, or it is important enough to get reposted. hopefully this makes some sense to you.

But it's cool. cool.gif
