damn insurance!!!!

here in canada, the new government froze insurance rates for the next couple of years....

hence the insurance companies are being biatches to their existing/new customers

and yeah...i'm having a little bit of a problem with insurance...

i'm living away from my parents, and they put me on the insurance, as if i live with them. that way it's much cheaper since they live in a rural town, and i live in a megacity!

but i guess insurance company kinda figured it out, so now my parents will have to put me off the insurance.

so no more car for me. most likely my tibby will be sold......

NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

u guys have any idea what to do???????????? i'm SOOOOO Depressed right now........ 02.gif 02.gif 02.gif 02.gif 02.gif 02.gif 02.gif

Couldn't you write it up as if one of your parents lived with you?
That way all you'd need is a change of address.

I feel for you bro. Insurance rates in Ontario are out of this world. The tibbys are still very expensive to insure. Hopefully you can find another company with better rates, shop around.

well, the thing is, my parents reported that my tibby is with them most of the time

and the truth is that it's here in toronto with me all the time

so i guess they kinda figured that out...

and they scared the s**t out of my parents that they were gonna cancel ALL insurance (including their van) if i got into another accident in my tibby

now, the funny part is, it doesn't matter if the accident was 100% at the other person's fault...

damn. now i really wanna move down to states

at least that way i wouldn't have damn insurance problems!!

I am not completely sure how that works but I have heard of people doing it. Call an insurance company and ask them. I know I won't be able to afford insurance on my tib when I move out so I am gonna buy some POS car that is cheap on insurance, tell the insurance company that I drive the POS most of the time and my tib is only for sunday driving and show. And if I get my tib in an accident on a weekday I'd tell I was bringing it to the car wash or shop. I'm pretty sure you can get full coverage still but they would get suspicious if you get in alot of accidents with ur tib. Also for this to work I think there must be more cars than eligible drivers in your household.

Best way to keep your insurance down... slow down and drive a little more defensivly. I am sorry, but I did catch the "if I get in one more accident" line there.. How many have you had?
