finding a motor for his car around WI is hard you'll have to go way out of state to get one. i've told him might as well just junk it, otherwise sell it for $1800 or so.

he's pretty irresponsible, his last car was a 98 gs400 and he drove that thing drunk all the time and curb rashed it a shit load of times so that thing got traded in. and he always drinks and drives. if i wanted to see my car in the shit hole i might as well put it there myself.

if he is irresponsible why even bother...
personally from what you told us "if you got money to throw away, go ahead and give him your car...if you don't please use common sense"

Explain to her what your losses/risks would be if you gave the tib to that if you helped him get a junker and bring the point home by showing that you are still helping in the end, but you just aren't losing what you care for.

Tell her you'll give him the car if she gets $8,000 out of him up front. Otherwise, no.
Time to be a macho and explain things to your wife. A major decision like GIVING somebody a car is something a family decides to do together, or else the default position is "no."

my words to my wife were, "If I wanted to see my car in a shithole, i'll put it there myself." and told her to shut the f*** up cause i know he will not respect the car cause it's a free car. she argued with me for a hour and i said flat out no! i told my bro that and he understood cause he's like you've spent a lot of money into it so i'm not surprised at you not giving me your car. i told him if i had another car, meaning a third car i most likely would have gave him my tib, but since i don't that's why i didnt.
