$3/gallon here. Only 8% of our crude oil comes from the gulf. At the old prices I went trough $15/day in gas. Soon it will be $20. Gone through $80 since Friday BEFORE the hike. I'm gonna start riding a bike everywhere!

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (ArcticChill @ Aug 31 2005, 12:46 AM)</div><div class='quotemain'>^^ 'course you can. You buy the Toyota Corolla...which has about 32/41 (city/highway) mpg...yeah...it's a Corolla...but it becomes your daily driver, and turns your Tib into a project car.
<div align='right'><{POST_SNAPBACK}></div></div>

I gave up on the tib as making it fast. I'd definitely keep it as a daily driver if I could afford it, but can't do right now. And with my Z I could have it run low 11s all day and still drive it to work and back every day getting high teens mpg... you can't beat that!

Damn!!! fist.gif 261.gif yell.gif saeek.gif chairfall.gif dead1.gif In Ukraine prices go up very quicly. 6 month ago it was about $1.7, and now $2.85, it's too damn much for here.

And now I'm learning how to use public transdport!!! 17.gif aargh4.gif omfg.gif crying.gif

I want to install equipment for natural gas, cause natural gas is $1.2 here, so it would be 2x cheaper than gas.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Patreezy @ Aug 30 2005, 10:14 PM)</div><div class='quotemain'>what percentage of our gas comes from the Gulf?

i thought the majority was inland like Texas and the Plains. wtf? 3.50? Don't we import more oil than our own anyway? They can't blame keep blaming Hurricanes.

We are so screwed when oil runs out.
<div align='right'><{POST_SNAPBACK}></div></div>
news said last night that over 1.5 Million something came from Gulf everyday... 25% of the US Production.

We got a phone call at work 2 nights ago (Monday Night) from a co-workers' sister who works at a local gas station. She told us to all go fill up our cars because on Tuesday it was jumping to $3. Well, it's $2.69 here and rising (up from $2.53).

A/C... how long will Race Gas last? Like if you buy several gallons of it now, will it still work well in 2 years? Buy now... re-sell in 2 years

30% of America's oil came from that area. 80% of the EAST COAST'S oil came from that area though. The west coast is supposedly not supposed to get prices raised more than the east since a) it's already high enough and b) they get more oil from Alaska and Texas anyway.

Gas here was $2.10 for regular 3 weeks ago and shot up to $2.39 in one week! Then it dropped back to $2.19 and shot right back up to $2.45 for the 4 days before the hurricane. As soon as it struck, it went up to $2.49. Yesterday it went up to $2.53 and now it's $2.56. My store also has a gas station, so prices are changed at the beginning of my shift every night (11pm) and towards the end of my shift every morning (usually 6am). We're expecting gas to be $2.75 by Thursday for Labor Day weekend since I live in a tourist town, and since the hurricane damages will worsen. We're also expecting gas to hit more than $3 before the end of September, and for the prices to not go below $2.90 until sometime in 2006. That's what our company is telling us anyway.

Man, this sucks.

What gets me is that the gas we put in our cars today was actually purchased a month ago. How is it that gas goes up on a day by day basis when the oil was already purchased, at a given price, a while back? I guess the oil companies are passing the damage costs to consumers or using this as an excuse to raise gas prices.

Uhm, you're embarassed to be an American because Oil prices went up here? WTF ever doode, the rest of the world has paid outrageous prices for years. Go ahead and blame the current government for all the problems of the world. You're right, it's the current administrations fault that we've not expanded our oilfields, refineries or gone to other fuel methods in the past 30 years.
