Saaweeeeetttt!!!! Gas prices have hit $3.00/gallon here! w0000000000000tttttttttt!!!!

Some blame the hurricane, others blame SUV owners. I blame n00bs for not tuning their turbo'd cars, and running pig rich, with black smoke shooting out of their exhaust. But that's just me. fing02.gif

I can't wait to pay $5.00/gallon on basic 87/89 octane! w00000ttt!!! Even better when race gas is about $10/gallon...w000000tttttttttt!!!

Note to the dumb: This is sarcasm.

With the stuff in Louisiana going the way it is, expect it to get rediculous.

what percentage of our gas comes from the Gulf?

i thought the majority was inland like Texas and the Plains. wtf? 3.50? Don't we import more oil than our own anyway? They can't blame keep blaming Hurricanes.

We are so screwed when oil runs out.

It went up from $2.39 to $2.59 in my area just this week. Whatever. I think they're jacking the prices in advance because they can.

Now would be a great time for me to get out of tech stocks and into oil, they'll be making a killing for the rest of the year.

$10? You mean $100?

Times like this, I wish I had a time machine, go back in time when I need to fill her up, and only pay $.50/gallon. Yay for gas guzzling PoS...oh...and domestics.

Who's the moron who said we're at a point where consumers want more displacement? Are Americans just blatantly stupid? Or are the diehard rednecks still staying away from the 40+mpg imports? I wish the hurricane could've takened out some more of the damn rednecks.

At times like this....I'm embarassed to be an American. Way too many dumbasses running the show.

Hey I have a car with big displacement and enjoy every moment of driving it. I just wish I didn't have to drive as much. And FYI I get 2-3mpg less than I'm getting in my tiburon and that's with 3 times as much displacement, twice as many cylinders and 3 times as much power smile.gif Can't beat that smile.gif

^^ 'course you can. You buy the Toyota Corolla...which has about 32/41 (city/highway) mpg...yeah...it's a Corolla...but it becomes your daily driver, and turns your Tib into a project car.
