^ agree

Its not Visions fault guys..he did not design it or QA/QC. So before we starte lighting our torches and getting the pitch forks ready...We now have the following:

We know what wont work. plastic

we know we need to do something about the key

we know the life span of this key and what problems ocourred..

so we put it all together and make a better one..

It but from what i can now that i am accualy looking at it. The key houseing need to be make out of alumumin and the hinge needs to have a bolt with a locking washer and a plastic or some kind of bearing so it will filp. this is just an ideal..

BTW.. if it was CAD and cut out of alum with a choice of engraving on it that would be hot

well plastic will be fine.. and CNC'd aluminum, with the whole hinge/spring mechanism + design costs, would make it be about s 50-60$ key..

we jsut need a thicker plastic, or stronger like delrin or nylon. the VW keys are proven, or they wouldnt have been made, also chrysler has a cool one.. we just need to get one of those, that will fit our key blanks, and get a decal to replace theirs..

Right CAD cut aluminum would be sweet but SOCKS is right, it would cost an ass-load... far more than what we want to spend. And the whole hinge thing that Jon said could work but its not cost effective... so we just need to look at switchblade knives because lets be honest, those things are not going to brake, and, to make it even better thier simple.
