On monday I had to go out to get some stuff sent off at the PO.. no biggy just jump in the car, hit the bank, draw some cash and then take the stuff to be sent to the PO.

So I do all of that, it goes smoothly... Then Im starting to get really hungry and because I have been driving around all over the place I was getting narked with rolling cigs so figured I would go to the local Heritages (little old fashioned wawa type affair) and get a egg white and low fat cheese sandwich and some cigs.

So as I am coming out this black dude who looks a bit worse for wear looks over at me getting into my tib and automatically must have thought "oh look a rich white kid" f*** me was he in for a suprise LOL.

So he comes over muttering something about he needs to get his boss to cash his paycheck.. jesus, if someone employs you buddy I feel bad for the state of the work economy... anyways he mutters something about wanting 75 cents.. Now as he does this I drop my bag into the drivers seat with my food and cigs in and turn to face him.. I took my bic lighter out of my pocket and put it into my hand to reinforce my fist, just incase I had to get physical with him it makes a punch about 10 times harder.

So he comes over, I say "yeh Ill give you 75 cents.." so I get my wallet out and literally all that was in there is like $1.75.. So he says "well I need $1.50" and with that something f***ing snapped inside of me and I said "look you greedy c*** I agreed to help you and you aint getting $1.50.. so take it or f***ing leave it" and he sorta flinched as I shouted that at him and took a step back.. so I toss the 75 cents at him and get into the car and drive away.. he's still standing there with his jaw on the deck.

So yeah, this is kinda a rant about shitfaces like that who do drugs and dont work for a living and think they can pray on people who look like they might be doing ok for themselves.. well you got a f***ing shock coming because Im not into that.

I can only imagine had I not met him with my full intellectual wrath what it would have gone onto "yeah i need a ride" f***ing shitc***.

 

well giving them money doesnt help motivate em to get a job...

 

I know exactly what u mean, i work downtown where i live and right beside my resteraunt is basically where most bums in the city gather around to bug the crap out of my customers so i have to take the time out of what i am doing, usually paperwork but still, to go talk to this Bast*** and ive gotten into atleast 6 fist fights with these guys in the past 5 years lol, its the only part that sucks being the only guy in a resteraunt full of basically girls.

They always see me getting into the tib too and then come over saying that someone that can afford this car can spare 2 bucks, and then i just come back with that im barely surviving paycheck to paycheck and that i never have any cash on me

 

Yeah true that.. tbh I gave him the benefit of the doubt as my wife has taught me to be alot more tolerable.

I mean when I first got here someone would hold the door open for me at wawa and i would look at them like they were crazy... shed kick my shin and say "whats the matter with you" and I would reply "well no doubt theyll let the door go in my face"

People in America tend to be alot more laid back and friendly and it took me a long time to adjust to that after living in one of the roughest parts of the UK.. So hey, for all I knew that dude could have been on a level.. I gave him the benefit of the doubt (where as usually he would have been told to f*** off from the get go) and he turned out to be a shitbag.. Ah well, women eh? lol

Dude its not easy doing the right thing.. these people who think theyre having a hard time of things really need to be in the real world from time to time.

I mean you know they get given the welfare and it aint much, so they have to struggle.. but tbh Im not that well off and i work REALLY hard.. I live week to week and have to make deadlines for bills and get red letters from the bank and stuff just like the next man.

The only difference is that I just do it, I dont complain or look around me for easy ways out or someone to blame like those kinds of people do.

I mean if they think we are so well off and great then why dont they get off of their arses and come and join us? course not, too lazy.. better to sit there blaming the whole world for your situation and swearing to get these people rather than join them and actually pay your way in life.

I remember once, just after I started my job.. My step mother's nephew is about 24.. he has a baby and a girl from another country.. Well he lost about 3 jobs and sat on his ass feeling sorry for himself, so you know what? I offered him a job at my company.. Well 3 weeks later he was evicted and him and his girl and baby were living in a shelter.. did he take up my offer for the job? of course he f***ing didnt, he just sat around feeling sorry for himself talking a good fight but keeping his hands firmly in his pockets.

He did try and get my father in law to let him move in there, but sadly for him (lmfao) my father in law is the exact same 'kind' as me and told him "finish your coffee and you have the time it takes me to get out of the shower to get your dumb f***ing ass out of my house.." then told his girl "you can stay here and the baby can stay here but when I come back down I want that useless arsehole out of my house"

And now theyre living with family somewhere else (someone who was stupid enough to take him in) and the last I heard he was refereeing halo matches for like $9 a day.

Honestly, some people havent got a f***ing clue what life is all about.

 

anywhere near DC you get that sh*t happening to you every f*cking day. when europeans say americans are couch potatoes and sit on their arses all day, they have absolutely no idea it's better to sit drink beer and watch football than to go out facing trouble on the streets. it's not like europe here. here, you go out to buy some chocolate and you get mugged. then the teen druggies think they're all hard core.

you better be careful. they have a different mindset. i learned my lessons when i was 11 years old walking in the city. a policeman saw i gave a homeless person change and yelled me stright, told my teacher and i got in a bunch of trouble. i'm sorry but in this country you ask for it. i'm sorry but popping out 5 kids and not being prepared for it isn't helping you get that promotion.

one time when my car broke down in a shady area, this guy asked me for change three times when i told him the same answer. i told him i only had a debit card. he said for me to go to the store and get him some money. WTF am i going to do all that for now??

take it from me, next time anybody asks you for change just tell them you only carry debit card and bye bye. it's not your problem.

As for this kind of thing? Im perfectly set up to deal with it tbh... In the UK if you told someone you only had debit they would take you at knifepoint to the ATM lol, infact my friends girl was bashed over the head and mugged whilst using an atm (theyre in the street in the UK).

Im not worried about it, nor scared.. As I say I gave him the benefit of the doubt but if it had gotten physical I have no doubt I would have held my own.. If someone wants to take me down? fine, they may well do so but I tell you they will bear the scars.

The first thing my uncle told me as a kid was "kid, even if there are 5 of them just grab the nearest one and bite him til you have a chunk ripped out... make one of them scream and then the others wont want to go there" and hes right, noone likes pain.
