Dear hybrid-car drivers
Please use the gas pedal to get up to speed when you merge on the highway.
Its dangerous for me as I'm behind you and there is a guy coming in at twice your speed.

Wait for them to start changing lanes from 2x safe following distance behind. When they start moving over, gun it in 3rd and pass them before they complete their lane change.

I hate hybrid car owners. Theres a bunch in my neighborhood and they always go really slow. Dont know if just because they're slow drivers or because the cars themselves are very very slow to accelerate.

does anyone else brake extra hard when the see a prius behind them to keep them out of regen braking.. f you and polar bears.
Actually here in Houston you get to see two types of hybrid driver. The hypermilling type that caused this thread and the drive like asshats you really should have just bought a corolla type.
On the acceleration.. if you have ever had one jump off a light on you.. itll freak you out until about 20mph. lol The prius has some freaking torque if that battery has a good charge. I had someone run the elantra in one. I didn't launch... because it was a prius. I found myself going to WOT real quick, however after that it was meh.. but not OMG slow. Max torque at zero rpms, heh.
