i look to see the pic more than who actually posted
when malik came and had redz's avatar it actually made redz make him change it
oh and those guys that say i shouldnt be lookin at this site at work
i work at a dealership im around cars all the time
hell there was times were my boss would ask me if i can find him a turbonetics turbo kit for a 240 for him
and if im all done at work and my boss wont let me go home ill post all i want
we had to make a 18+ section for a reason heck some things in the 18+ section are kinda clean but people might have offense and we moved it there
and for lack of a better example TC's pics were in there and i didnt see "private" sections but yet the girl in
redz shows the same thing and it justs floats here
come on guys were not friggin 12 years old we are adults but i shouldnt have to skip someones post cuz i dont want to get in trouble for tryin to read it and there was something sexual posted there
and its true we came here to learn about our cars if ya wanted porn sites i know of some that are free....
when you watch speedchannel do you expect to see a MA warning? or somethin saying "this next show is for mature audiences only"
if ya wanna keep that stuff might as well take off the sware filter

not that i don't like asses and boobies,,they won't bother my boss neither,.the only problem i have with those kind of avatars are my children,they're often around me while i'm on the computer i hate it when i have to give up my post reading when either scroll down hoping to get rid of them or simply closing the window
so yes, i'm with Agarwal about those,like it or not,if i want to see porn there's more then enough places to see it

heh, REDZ...I did exactly what you did. I changed my avatar to what it was before to see who would say something about it.
I've had it on NT.com for a while now, no problems...

well my thoughts are this. your not going to please everyone, its impossible.
the question here is who is the audience you want to use the site. the age requirement is under 18, and while it is true that it isnt like hardcore porn or anything, parents arent going to liking see their kids using a site with girls in thongs. i know mine wouldnt. second, there is a 99.9% chance that unless ppl read the middle of this thread, which they wont, they wont know how to turn off avatars. also, disabling pictures on the browser doesnt work couple of reason. 1, many jobs require browsers for work, which use sites with pictures. disabling the pictures is dumb for one site. 2, a LOT of places will simply disable as many features as possible, why? to keep from viruses, people covering their tracks from stuff they shouldnt do etc. so one of the many things thats gone..... options in IE. it is true that you could use the my controls however like java pointed out. however, why would you want to take away from members features of the site. i like using avatars, while mine is broke after the upgrade it has be removed and ill reupload here soon.
another reason is the simple idea that why would u want to shun people who are browsing the site, maybe cookies disables so they cant login. or just wanting to look around. why would u want to give ur first impression with pictures of girls in thongs and such all over the posting. and they dont have a control panel to disable the pictures.
third, the idea of dont do it at work is absurd. first, i know if i go to work 30 mins early due to traffic and there is none i get there early. ill get on rdtib and browse(along with many other sites). so the idea of dont do it on the clock is tossed out. i dont like the idea of you shouldnt be on this site at work, library, school, etc. i had a couple classes that we did nothing in during high school, teachers assistant(he didnt have anything for me to do), cisco (last 20 minutes of class we did have to do any school work so he let us surf "safe sites"). i got on rdtib and posted. what would happen if we had the avatars we have now were seen there?..... bad stuff..... the entire thought process of dont do it here here or here is silly because of this.
i also agree with the idea that many girls may not like some of the avatars, though i cant speak for them. only what i would think.
the point here is, by having avatar that have offensive pictures with the girls, you are, issolating yourself from many new members and types of people. you also assume where they are at. you also give a poor first impression to new members. and you run the risk of offending some member on the site.
just my 2 cents.

Okay cartoon boobies bouncing was nice, but I understand the fact that people have to work and check this site from many other locations then the luxury of their private homes like me. But I on the other hand have no one to see me when I'm at work on the computer because the screen faces the opposite side of the door. So I decided to change it to something a bit more appropriate yet as funny as the boobies. Hope you guys enjoy.
