Anyone else having problems filling up your gas tank? mad.gif I could only get half a tank filled before I gave up after "clicking" about a hundred times. What's the deal? Is the vent clogged in the tank?
happens to me once in awhile. everytime i just shut the pump off and went and used another pump. viola, pump stayed on.
never had it where it is constantly happening though.

only had it happen once, i got very upset at the attendant(we in jersey and so its full serve) when he told me my tank was filled after i just drove from Connecticut to PA back to NJ. Anyway i went to a different place and it was fine...hasn't happened since

It's not just you my pelirojo companion. I've had the same problem a few times recently. I found that if I filled the tank at about 3/4 way triger pull it stopped. I think it's the super fast fill heads on these pumps now. I usually pump at Costco, and the costco's here I fill at have new gas stations, so you never know.

Alright so jon, if your problem isn't fixed by going to another pump then it may be your car (obviously)
Selina's Accent when she bought it wouldnt allow you to fill up more than 5-10 cents at a time. Very annoying, finally i took off the hose leading from the filler to the charcoal canister and it was filled with carcoal bits, after i emptied the tube, problem solved.

Yea, I've suspected that, but I've also wondered if maybe there was enough vacuum to put a kink in the filler hose (assuming it's rubber). I'm sure I'll get it fixed. Just one more problem I don't have time for these days.

I've been across the country from coast to coast lived and filled up my gas on the ends and in the middle of the country. I've never had a problem with a gas pump shutting off on me. It may be a bad gas pump or a clogged breather. If it's habitual, then I'd lean towards a clogged breather.
