Now that was the answer I was looking for!
My springs probably haven't been replaced, and probably are in terrible condition. Either way I'm going with the Eibachs, so no need for the switch. How much do the Eibachs lower your car? Isnt it like 1.5"?
Okay, getting off topic. Ride-quality still sucks.

You could get stock OEM replacements from the dealer. They probably rape out the ass for them though. The KYB GR2s were meant for a better stock replacement for non-lowered cars, so I'm sure they would do awesome.
Looks like I have lots of suspension work to look forward to @ 60,000 miles. My car only has 13k on it, so no problems with it so far.

Doubtful...previous owner seemed like an all show/no go kind of person.
He had a huge system in the back, and left his/her amp attached to the trunk lining.

exaclty why he would get lowering springs only and not spend the money on decent struts. those stock ones will go to crap FAST if there are lowering springs on em. they cant handle the extra weight.
im willing to bet thats what he did. i have NO complaints with the ride of my tib with a similiar amount of miles as you.

you can go the other way around though right? i am looking into kyb struts/shocks, but keeping my stock springs (because i figure someday ill get rims, and that will raise my car, so then i'll want eibach springs to lower it), but until then ill be OK?

Don't worry Zoned... when I actually get around to taking pics of my car once the side is fixed I'll take a nice big pic of the odometer for ya. tongue.gif
^^ Yep. Like I said, the KYB GR2s are actually designed to be used with stock springs, although some people like to use them with small lowering springs as well (which I would be hesitant to do... but ahh well tongue.gif). The KYB AGX are more designed for dropped cars, you could get those as well.

oh yeah. the other way around is fine.
the oem struts are more compressed with extra weight all of the time when the springs are lower. they are not meant to be used with lowering springs at all.
kybs are perfectly fine to use with stock springs though.

would the kyb gr2s also be good with eibachs? the way my tib is now, i do not want it lowered anymore. but someday when i get rims, i will want it lowered or else it will look goofy with the bodykit being 6 inches off the ground.
