that would also cause the internal lights to come on when you use the brakes.

sorry, i'm confuse. Are you referring to the brake light in the dashboard (next to speedometer) or the actual rear brake light?

for the brake light (E-Brake light) in the dashboard, it's because of low brake fluid (which i mention in earlier post).

But if the actual rear brake light on, it's because of the brake sensor (or switch) is spoiled. Just change the switch will solve the problem.

I've had this problem before. My rear brake lights would not go off.

What happened was, a rubber piece behind my brake pedal dried out and eventually just fell apart.
Replaced for a few bucks and it's fine now.
