well i told some people about this but i pretty much kept it secret so i would be the first to do it
my friends how would you be interested in 2 piston calipers and 11inch rotors that fit under the stock 15" wheels? (fx wheels has been verified but the others i donno...)
and a setup that doesnt cost you a arm and a leg?
well
here is my setup
xg calipers (paid 180 for both at checker(kragen etc) came with shims and stuff)
xg caliper brackets (junk yard has them for 20 bux if you can find someone to sell them)
goodridge lines (110 in my gb)
hawk pads (90 bux)
11 inch rotors that are the same exact size as the xg ones BUT they are 4 bolt pattern (about 80 bux from mad_john or you can find them on ebay cross drilled and slotted mine are goin to the cyro here shortly....)
now people have tried the sonata rotors only to find out that they rub the top of the caliper
i went on a quest to find out if there were any that would bolt right on
well one day a car came in the shop and had the xg calipers....but it wasnt a xg it had HMC on it though... and it had the 4x114.3 bolt pattern..............................a 2005 KIA SPECTRA
yup thats right man im so happy seriously it took about 3 months to find out if they worked and i had to pay john to ship them across the ocean
laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif so now you junkyard hunters get lookin for a 2004.5 and newer kia and everything will bolt right on including the brake lines and there are TONS more spectras out there than there are xgs

Why are you always so secretive? Is this the whole point of your overdrive pully setup idea? you have much bigger brakes so you want to overdrive it?

Awesome, I'd like to see the kit.
Get us some part #'s bro, and for sure, the years we need. I'll start lookin.
BTW, why did you wait so long to get them from Mad John if you can get them on ebay?

Are their rears bigger as well?
The rotor, caliper, and lines all bolt up without mods? Are you serious? WOW.
Is this only the 05+ models? I don't see ANYTHING on ebay for 05's, only 00-04's which are 5 bolt pattern..?? Why would they change it? from 5 lug to 4 in just the 05 model?
Oh yeah, and what do you think the weight difference is?

I think he meant after you are done prick.
LOL
Anyways, glad to hear it all worked. Did you move the car after or do you still have to get that other part first?
did you do the lines allready? If so, did you need a bunch of extra fluid for the extra piston displacement?
Get the full parts listing. I want to research prices a bit for myself on this.
