one of three things.. the first is not recommended...

1: cut a coil off of your springs.. this will increase the spring rate and lower the car.. but it is trial and error and will amke the ride a LOT harder the lower you go.

2: Lowering springs. Unlike the cut coils above.. these springs are usually designed to lower the car a set amount and still keep it livable without you needing new kidneys every oil change

3: Coil overs.. These offer you unlimted options and a good ride.. you could lowering a fraction of an inch or until the car scraps in the garage.. the best of both worlds with almost no drawbacks save for the price of admission.

There is a fourth option.. Air suspension.. but that is more for show than performance.. the added weight of the system and the general softness of the bags do not usually make for a good handling car.

oh.. and whenver you change your ride height.. get the wheel realigned.

Basically installing new springs that ride lower than your stock ones.
But I do recomend installing new Struts that will go with those springs as well, cuz if you ride with the new lower springs with the stock struts, your struts will last another 6 months or so, if that, before your car feels like a horse buggy.

oh yes.. I forgot about the struts.. you need new struts with any of the above.. not only because they will quickly toast your old ones.. but with less movement, you need stiffer shocks to control the movement of the suspension.

don't cut your springs... that's stupid and hurts the ride quality.

you're worried about scraping? I sit 2" off the ground.... is it your front bumper that's scraping or the brush gaurd underneath? It might just be the brush gaurd under the car, little plastic/rubber piece, I think our tibs have it...

Also guys lets not forget that we dont have stock camber and caster adj when u lower ur car those will go out no matter what,so ur going have to buy camber bolts also so u dont eat up ur tires, AND NEVER NEVER EVER HEAT OR CUT UR SPRINGS, i get to many guys that come in the shop with cup over springs , springs not even sitting on the strut cuz kids think heating is cheap and easy but the ride goes to sh*t
