i need a wheel stud for my car. i tried advanced auto and napa however...... they give me the replacement and i look at it..... its the same size as the broken one.... no way its going to fit. so i went to the dealer, but they put it on backorder after like a week. so they told me theyd put it on emergency order in for it and try to get it. im going to call monday and get an update, but if they dont have anything i want to cancel and get it somewhere else like online somewhere. however, i dont want to get the wrong size one online too. any ideas?

 

Just about anywhere that sells auto parts (i.e.: Pep Boys, etc...). The part is not Hyundai specific; I'm pretty sure lots of other cars use the same studs.

I've got one here from "Nice Products" in Australia that I never ended-up using (Part No. NS310). If you're really stuck I could prolly chuck it in the post for you.

Well here are it's measurements:

Overall length 45mm

Thread length 32mm

Thread/nut size 12mm x 1.5mm

Head diametre 11.5mm

Sorry I just noticed that I'd written that the head diametre was 11.5mm pat.gif

Not that it really affects anything but it's actually 16.5mm.

 

I bought a wheel stud replacement from O'Reilly.... it WONT WORK! Go to the dealership, they're like $2.50 or so. The Sonata studs fit Tiburons if I remember right. I bought some from O'Reilly and they were about 1.5" too short and the lug nuts wouldn't fit on all the way.

AutoZone, Advance Auto Parts, Pep Boys... they all told me they didn't have one in stock. I got one from O'Reilly and it fit, but was way too short.

Be safe, go to the dealership... seriously...
