Stock offset is +42.
The wider the wheel, the lower the offset should be to keep the wheel EQUAL to where it was. In order to move the wheel OUT even more, you need to lower the Offeset even more.
For 7" wheels I would go with a +38 offset
for 7.5" wheels, I would go with a +35 offset
for 8" wheels, I would like to see them fit! *grin*

True...install the proto body kit and slap some 15" wide wheels. They would probably need a -80 offset to fit, and good luck turning with 15" wide tires and such a severe offset.

That would be nowhere near sitting flush with the fender, it would be about where the stock wheels are.
I've said it before, I'll say it again.
YOU CANNOT GET THE WHEELS FLUSH WITH THE FENDERS! If you did, the wheels would bend your fender and your fenders would cut your wheels every time you went over a bump. The wheels are designed to tuck INTO the fenders.
The veilside car posted above is a SHOW car, sure, you could get a set of +25 offset wheels and 225 tires, but I would not try driving to the carshow with them. The car that is an example for the SR tail lights, those wheels fit inside the fender. If you look closely, you will notice they are not flush...but they are so far out I would bet they still rub on bumps on the inside fenderwells.
