Alright I have a question about the center piece that is coming out of my hub, I have a 1998 tib what the heck is that center thing doing, It makes it impossible for me to mount a new set of rims I got because they wont sit flush with the hub because they dont fit over that stupid center mah-bob. Some insight would be much appreciated smile.gif

Please take some spelling lessons.

That thing right THERE is called your hub. The thing right THERE in the middle of the hub is the end of your axle. The thing right THERE on the axle, holding it in place, that looks like a HUGE nut, is a HUGE nut. Called a Castleated nut, because of the slots, and the fact that if held sideways, it vaugely looks like a castle. The thing right THERE holding your nut in place is a cotter pin.

The 4 things right THERE that are poking out of the hub face are your lug studs.

Any other questions?

thats what holds the bearing, if your wheels wont fit over those you need different wheels, a lot will come just a little bigger than those but will include "hub centric rings" to center the wheels.

That right THERE was not mean at all. That THERE was directly to the point.

I can show you mean.

Common sense rules sometimes, anything that threads onto and secures a threaded shaft is usually some sort of nut.

Although REDZ, some nuts lack common sense...and a lot of other things too...but those types of nuts are generally found in an institution, even though people do consider them screwy lmao.gif

Sorry, probably out of line, but I couldn't resist
